CUTSCENE ARTIST

Sixth Vowel is based out of Buenos Aires and offers excellent contract conditions and work stability. Sixth Vowel is looking for a Level Designer to work as a Cutscene Artist on a Tactical RPG.

IMPORTANT: The cutscenes will be developed in-game using the Unity engine, with no cinematic post-production of any kind.

Responsibilities:

  • Main Task: Creating, testing, tuning and implementing compelling cutscenes and interactive dialogues that must have excellent pacing, acting, and timing using animation libraries
  • Setting up cameras to frame appealing and engaging visual compositions
  • Working within specific storyline requirements using solid dialogue scripts as reference
  • Communicating with other departments to achieve the best possible quality for cutscenes
  • Following, assessing and maintaining pipelines and technical requirements

Requirements:

  • Experience with Unity editor
  • Being an active player of videogames with a deep understanding of narrative, composition, pacing and aesthetics
  • Willingness to accept and provide constructive criticism, coupled with the capacity to remain objective about the result of your own work, always ready to accept change
  • The ability to effectively manage time and to work efficiently within a deadline driven environment
  • Familiarity with Google Apps for Business (Drive Sheets, Docs and Slides), Trello, and Slack
  • Perfect written English and English reading comprehension

Plus:

  • 2+ years of professional experience in games
  • Understanding of light, sound and camera as narrative devices
  • Knowledge or experience with branching and interactive storytelling in videogames
  • Experience working with repositories
